    Meet Max Sloves

    A recovered attorney and aspiring academic, Max has trained at Yoga Salt (200 hr. certification) and YogaWorks (300 hr. certification). He finds tremendous joy in practicing and teaching yoga in a way that helps to navigate the realities of the world we live in while keeping the body and the spirit strong. Through the exploration of posture and alignment, Max’s classes seek to break down the arbitrary boundaries between our intellectual curiosity, spiritual investigation, and physical movement. Influenced by his “senseis” Tamal Dodge and Mia Togo, Max’s classes are intended to be challenging but thoughtful, intense yet fun. And while he believes that the physical practice is truly a gateway to a more meditative and philosophical experience, don’t expect long diatribes about his views on life. Expect a puddle of sweat on your mat and maybe, every now and then, the reflection in that puddle will give you a little something to think about.
